Overview

The Fire Warden Training course is designed to equip attendees with the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the role of a fire warden in their workplace. It focuses on implementing emergency plans and procedures, ensuring the safety of individuals during fire incidents, and effectively managing fire-related risks.

Who Should Attend?

This course is intended for individuals who have been designated as fire wardens in their workplaces. It is also beneficial for managers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel who play a role in emergency preparedness and response.

  • Fire causation and hazards, including typical causes of workplace fires and effective management strategies
  • Fire actions in response to alarms and fire discovery
  • Fire evacuation procedures, both general and specific to the workplace
  • Role of the Fire Warden in emergency situations and day-to-day operations
  • Fire chemistry and the behavior and effects of smoke
  • Classification of fires and the use of fire-fighting equipment
  • Fire safety checks and the completion of fire safety registers in the workplace

Duration & Assessment

The course typically lasts for one day and includes both theory and practical exams to assess participants’ understanding and application of the training material.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive certification that is valid for a period of 3 years. Please note that this is an in-house course and is conducted at the client’s site, rather than being open to the public.

Requirements

A solid understanding of English is required to participate in this course.
