Overview

Ensure compliance and prioritize employee well-being with VDU Risk Assessments (also known as Display Screen Equipment Risk Assessments or DSE), a legal requirement under the “2007 General Application Regulations.”

Who Should Attend?

According to the law, employers must conduct Visual Display Unit (VDU) (DSE) Assessments for all computer workstations where an employee spends more than one hour per day.

Service Review

We use a three step approach to complete these assessments.

Stage 1. The users will complete an eLearning course and then complete a self-assessment form about their workstation.

Stage 2. We complete a 1-1 assessment either face to face or online through Zoom.

Stage 3. We will complete a report of our findings during the assessments and our recommendation for improvement.

Benefits of these assessments:

  • Mitigate workplace injuries
  • Reduced employee absence due to repetitive strain
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Provide customised workstations to meet your employees’ unique needs

Duration & Assessment

Each 1-1 workstation assessment typically takes between 15-20 minutes, depending on the individual’s requirements or pre-existing injuries. Once assessed, comprehensive reports are sent to the employer.

Certification

There is no certification for these assessments, we do produce a report that acts as proof of completion.

Requirements

No specific entry requirements are needed for this service; however, active participation from the individual being assessed is crucial to maximize the assessment’s effectiveness.
