Overview
The responsibility of a VDU/DSE Assessor is to evaluate a user’s workstation and provide the necessary knowledge for safe work at a VDU/DSE workstation, complying with the specifications outlined in the 2007 General Application Regulations.
Who Should Attend?
Employers, self-employed individuals, Health & Safety managers/consultants, representatives in Health & Safety, occupational health professionals, architects, Information Technology professionals, instructors of computer software programs or courses, individuals interested in ergonomics, and manual handling instructors (completing both courses offers complementary skills).
Requirements
A good understanding of English.
Outline of Course
- Understand the requirements of the 2007 General Application Regulations
- Complete a VDU / DSE risk assessment with the end user
- Assist in formulating your company policy on VDU / DSE safe work practice
- Have a greater understanding of the hazards & associated risks from working with a VDU /DSE
- Assist in the prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders associated with VDU / DSE usage
Duration & Assessment
This course can be finished within a single day, and the evaluation includes practical exercises along with a multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ) conducted at the conclusion of the session.
Certification & Renewal
A certificate of completion will be provided.
